OK, so I’m gonna put up a page with all of my recommended tools, but thought I’d just talk about them all real quick.
If you read my first post about what I’m focusing on right now, then you know my #1 focus is internet marketing.
To do IM right, you have to have the right tools. Period.
Here’s what I think everyone needs to succeed in IM:
- A website
- An autoresponder
- A plan
Ok, in reality there’s a lot more that you need, but that will get you started.
I hear some of you saying that you don’t NEED those things, and if you are implementing a very specific strategy that doesn’t rely on #1 or #2, then true, you don’t need them for what you are currently doing.
But I think there’s a TON of value in just putting up a blog, providing you readers with great content, and then talking about what is working, what’s not, and letting others watch as you go on your journey.
Not only might you have some very knowledgeable blog readers that might even be willing to help you, but you can have some great discussions that can help everyone including you.
I’ll tell you right up front that I don’t know everything. I don’t even know a fraction of what some people do. But I do know a lot. I’ve been around.
Sure, the CPA strategy you’re using might not call for a website, especially if you can direct link to an affiliate page from placing ads, but that’s not what I’m talking about.
Build a website. Build your brand.
Think for a minute about an IM guru that you know. Does he have a website? I bet he does. Does he constantly build his or her brand? Yes.
Sure, you can create a product and build a website around it and people will get to know your name.
But if you have a main site that promotes you and all of your products, you are building your brand.
You can achieve guru status!
The Money Is In The List
Like a website, for many methods you don’t need an autoresponder. But having a massive list is like instant free traffic.
I know IMers who can create a quick product, blast out an email to their list, and in 24 hours can bank five figures. Yes – FIVE FIGURES.
So you can choose not to build a list. That’s your choice. For me, it’s not a want, it’s a NEED.
OK, so having all the tools and video courses and PDF reports on your hard drive only gets you so far.
Without a plan, you’re f%#ked.
OK, so maybe that was a little extreme, but you have to know what to do next, and even if it’s all in your head, it’s a plan. It’s YOUR plan.
A plan is just a strategy. A list of things to do. Whatever you want to call it.
I like blueprints. Step-by-step instructions that lay it all out for me. That’s what I need. Maybe you don’t.
For me, it makes my life easy, and I’m all about being efficient and getting more done in less time.
So that’s my take on what tools I recommend.
